What sets you apart?

We're looking for a self-starter with a hands-on critical thinking approach, able to navigate complexity and ambiguity. Your 8+ years of professional experience in IT project management, customer interaction, and team leadership make you an ideal candidate. A high emotional IQ, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead internal team dynamics and customer relationships are key. If you bring expertise in documentation, business analysis, scope and change management, Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and familiarity with relational database design and IT systems architecture patterns, we want to hear from you! 

Your role as a Senior Technical Project Manager 

As a critical thinker and collaborator, you'll play a key role in managing and supporting project teams to implement enterprise software solutions, including our proprietary software, Casetivity. Your responsibilities encompass treating our customers with respect, balancing requirements and customer satisfaction, coaching project teams, and overcoming project challenges. You'll be instrumental in managing project scope, schedules, budget, and expectations, contributing to IT system architecture design, and leading the analysis of business problems for automated IT solutions.  The key responsibilities of this role are: 

  • Manage and support project teams to implement enterprise software solutions including SSG’s proprietary software 
  • Treat SSG’s customers with respect and integrity 
  • Consistently balance requirements and customer satisfaction 
  • Coach and support project team members and solve project challenges 
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budget, and expectations 
  • Manage all phases of full implementation including application requirements, development, testing, and deployment lifecycle 
  • Contribute to IT system architecture design and implementation 
  • Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated IT solutions 
  • Participate in or lead Joint Application Design Sessions used to gather requirements from interested stakeholders 
  • Understand the SOW and perform gap analysis between client requirements and application features
  • Decompose user requirements into workable JIRAs 
  • Manage IT teamwork assignments to ensure efficient resource utilization 
  • Manage day-to-day work accountability through clear communication, assignments, and deadlines 

Qualifications

  • Self-starter, hands-on critical thinker able to navigate complexity and ambiguity (at times) to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes  
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field. MBA and/or PMP preferred 
  • 8+ years of professional experience interacting directly with technical and non-technical customers 
  • 8+ years of professional IT project management and delivery experience, ideally working with enterprise software implementations or SaaS products 
  • 8+ years of managing high-performing software implementation teams and experience in IT release management  
  • High Emotional IQ, excellent communication skills, and ability to lead internal team dynamics and customer relationships 
  • Expertise in writing documentations and in business analysis requirements definition  
  • Expertise in creating a WBS to document all the steps needed from initiation to project delivery 
  • Experience in Scope and Change Management 
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies  
  • Knowledge of relational database design structure concepts 
  • Knowledge of IT systems architecture patterns (e.g., tiers of an IT system, Services Oriented Architecture patterns, etc.) 
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and lead requirements gathering meetings 
  • Software development experience is a plus, especially in Java/Groovy and/or C# 
  • Skills in other technical areas a plus 
  • Experience using JIRA Software for program planning and delivery 
  • Experience leading a scrum team
